Three main field exhibits were studied in the Planning Grant: Signal Fields, Magnetic Fields, and Sound Fields. Research in educational methodologies identified parallel models as an effective way to communicate abstract phenomena. Exhibit concepts were selected based on a compelling and compatible alliance between the science of fields, the storyline (using narrative to engage the kids through associating with Phoebe’s quest in the story PHOEBE’s FIELD) and the relevency to kid’s every day lives.
