The New School: Elizabeth Ellsworth was an advisor in the Planning Grant and now will work with a team of graduate students in the Media Studies Program at the New School to develop strategies for documenting the making of Phoebe’s Field on video. She is a professor in the Media Studies Program with a background in media theory and criticism, mediated learning environments, and using media to teach about and across social and cultural difference.  Her research currently focuses on the power of media and aesthetic experience in learning.  Some of that work is published in Places of Learning: Media, Architecture, Pedagogy, Routledge, 2004.
