PHYLLIS NEWBILL
Dr. Phyllis Newbill, holds degrees in Instructional Technology, Environmental and Engineering Geosciences, Geology and English. Her research has focused on improving attitudes toward science in women and in non-science majors enrolled in college-level science classes. Newbill has also worked in a number of grant-funded instructional design projects, including serving as project manager on a grant for the National Park Service. She has also taught geology at the high school and undergraduate levels.As the author of the literature review in the Planning Grant, she helped us shape our ideas to the purpose of informal science education and our strategic mission by continually turning our attention to current research and practice.Dr. Newbill has worked with the project since 2005.
