Girl Scouts of the USA will consult with the project team to network to the respective Councils in each exhibit venue area. Susan Cippoletti is the National Project Manager for Challenge & Change: Challenge Yourself; Change the World at Girl Scouts of the USA and will be the project liaison.
For the past five years, Ms. Cippoletti has been developing and funding leadership programs targeting underserved girls in rural America. Challenge and Change is a curriculum-driven program, which trains girls to become local social entrepreneurs through intense leadership training, outreach and mentoring as girls actualize their visions into real time projects. One year grants are awarded to local Girl Scout councils throughout the United States to support program implementation. Susan also develops leadership trainings and resources for adults to prepare them for social entrepreneurship education. In 2007, Challenge and Change will look to expand beyond rural America, serving girls in all communities.
Prior to joining Girl Scouts, Ms. Cippoletti managed family and community education programs at Liberty Science Center and The Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Her experiences ranged from program development, corporate sponsorships, staff training and visitor evaluation. Ms. Cippoletti also managed an AmeriCorps program in Jersey City, NJ, training GED students to become museum educators while encouraging them onto higher education opportunities. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema Studies from Hunter College and a Master’s of Arts degree in Museum Education from Seton Hall University.
