The Association for Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) will serve as a broker for the Phoebe’s Field exhibition, helping to establish venues, contracts and agreements with science museums across the U.S. In addition to SMV, institutions expressing interest in hosting Phoebe’s Field include: the Exploratorium in San Francisco, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, Arizona Science Center in Phoenix, Exploration Place in Wichita, and the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. ASTC provides professional development for the science center field, promotes best practices, supports effective communication, strengthens the position of science centers within the community at large, and fosters the creation of successful partnerships and collaborations. Wendy Hancock, Manager of Exhibition Services at ASTC served as an advisor on the Planning Grant and will continue consulting with the team until the exhibit begins touring.
