Cal Poly: Louis Rosenberg currently holds a joint appointment as Associate Professor within both the College of Education and College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University where he is the Cotchett Endowed Professor of Educational Technology. Lynne Slivovsky is the Hood Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cal Poly where she focuses on the impact service-learning experiences have on motivation toward learning in the context of experiential learning theory. Rosenberg and Livovsky join the project as faculty supporting the emerging Center for Exhibit Design at Cal Poly, a group that has been working for the last two years to bring together teams of engineers and educators to design and build innovative museum exhibits. The team has already designed a number of high profile museum exhibits for museums including the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium of Los Angeles, The Avila Beach Marine Institute, and the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum. Students and faculty associated with the Center will assist in developing interactive technologies for Phoebe’s Field.
