In December 2006 the team moved the venue of Phoebe’s Field out of the exhibit halls of science museums and onto the road. Shipping containers were proposed as both as a way to port the exhibit and as active architectural components. Traveling independently while being hosted by local museums increases the exhibit’s impact, bringing Phoebe’s Field both to underserved communities and audiences that might not be science museum regulars.
