Parallel Fields
This scheme overlaps several different fields in the same space, each articulated by a unique material. The child acts as the source for each field type, activating the thermal sensors in vertical SmartSlab panels and the magnetic floor system comprised of aluminum cans. A third, perhaps less evident, field is created by translucent wall panels made of horizontally-stacked drinking straws. The straws and the cans create visual fields by introducing familiar objects in unusual settings, thus making the ordinary extraordinary.
