Wind_board The wind_board brings a piece of the exhibit outside, and serves as a “billboard” for Phoebe’s Field. Hundreds of small, colored panels turn freely in the wind, mapping arrhythmic wind patterns. Mounted on the face of the museum, or standing upright outside of the Science Center entry, the spinning panels generate energy. Inside the museum an information kiosk displays metrics such as the current wind speed, direction and rate of power generation. The energy gathered throughout the day provides back-lighting for the wind_board at night.
